Thanksgiving

I've been thinking about Thanksgiving and all that it entails lately and i've come to the conclusion that no matter how much you dread the weight gain or the impending food coma, family is a wonderful thing to have. I've been spending my day cleaning out the truck and packing and it seems that it will never end. I had to sit down to gather myself and decided to do a little blogging. Taking trips is always a hassle but one well worth it. I miss my parents and can't wait to see them again. I feel like life is short and I have no idea how much time I have left with them. I want to take every chance I have to be with them. I want my kids to remember days with them and the family occasions, like Thanksgiving. I'm excited to spend the day with my mom and do some cooking, set up the table, light some candles and enjoy a meal with ones that I love the most, my family. I have some pretty awesome memories of Thanksgiving. I remember one time, the whole family was there. There must have been close to 15 people I think. We all sat down at a makeshift table, cause well, everyone had to sit at the table together. We were pretty adamant about that. There was no kids table cause they were part of the family too. There would be pretty plates, candles lit and fun round of "Telephone". If you haven't played this game at the dinner table, then I suggest that you do so! One person would start a rumor and it would get whispered to the next person and so on. You couldn't repeat what you said and the last person to answer, would say out loud what they heard. It was rather amusing to hear how badly the rumor would get botched up. I'm so thankful for a family that loves me and mine and go out of their way to help us when it's needed. I hope that everyone has a lovely Thanksgiving and to remember that family is important, no matter what.
Truck all cleaned up for the trip!
 I really hate packing.........
